











Anubis doesn't wait. He kneels in the middle of a hall that stretches into oblivion, scales in hand, and the crowd of the dead presses close on either side. A single child stands in the gap. The piece draws on the Egyptian weighing of the heart ceremony without quoting it directly, letting the fog and column-shadow do the theological heavy lifting. Monochromatic and vast, it sits in that uncomfortable space between myth and truth.
